Daughter of Thomas Ruffin Sr. and Maybud Hampton Pratt. Wife of John James Van Noppen II, who was a dentist in Spray, NC. Mother of sons, John James III, Thomas Pratt, Charles Henry, William Cornelius, and Leonard Hampton Van Noppen. (She was also the sister of Dr. Thomas Ruffin Pratt, who died in California.) Mrs. Van Noppen was a teacher among other things. (Note: Around 1950, Mrs Van Noppen published a series of articles for the Madison, NC newspaper, The Messenger, about historic homes along the Dan River in Rockingham Co. NC.)

What an interesting person you must have been. Wish I could have known you. I'm sure you knew my grandmother, Kate, as she was a good friend (and distant relative) of your brother, Thomas. Rest peacefully, Mrs. Van Noppen.
