Mrs. Gray was born in Bath Co., Ky. to the late William and Katy (Dial) Miller.
She married Howard A. Gray on July 7, 1947. He preceded her in death on August 31, 1999. She was a homemaker and a member of the Eighth Street Wesleyan Church. She loved to sing, sew, and garden.
Survivors include six children, Terry A. Gray, Marion, Aderon Joe (Demi) Gray, Virginia Beach, Va., Timothy Lee (Diane) Gray, Marion, John M. (Leona) Gray, Marion, David Gray, Marion, Robin (Brian) Freeman, Marion; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
