Mrs. Samuel Smurl. aged 39, died at the family home, 316 North Main street, on Sunday night, following nine days illness of complications. She was a member of St. Dominick's church, Parsons. Surviving are her husband and the follwoing children: Helen, James, Marie, John and Rose; also her parents, Mr. and Mrs. James McAfee, of Parsons, and the following brothers and sisters; Joseph and Andrew, of this city; James, Catherine, Patrick and Sarah, of Parsons. The funeral willl be held from the family home on Thursday morning , with a high mass of requiem in St. Dominick's church at 9:30 and interment in St. Mary's cemetery at Hanover.

The funeral of Mrs. Samuel Smurl was held yesterday morning from the family home, 316 North Main street, Parsons, with a largely attended high mass of requiem on St. Dominick's [c]hurch, Parsons, at 9:30 o'clock by Rev. M.F. Vorrigan. There was a profusion of floral tokens and interment was in the family plot in St. Mary's cemetery at Hanover. The pall bearers were William, Patrick and Thomas Melvin, John Fortune, Dominick Kane and William Parry.
