He married Nellie Tiemeyer in Grand Rapids, Michigan on Sept.6, 1911

1942 -Draft Registration lists Samuel age 54 as a self-employed farmer.Has a farm on Canal St. in Grandville, Mi. on the corner of Jacob. St.
Later moved to Baldwin St. in Jenison, close to the 1st CRC Church. House has been torn down.
