Son of Henry and Abigail (Watson) Shafer. Married Lida Otilla Kreglow on 6 Feb 1879 in Clark County, OH. Father of Bertha May b. 5 Apr 1883, Earl Clifford b. 31 Mar 1885 and Florence Abbie b. 30 Jun 1890.

ALBERT SHAFER DIES SUDDENLY
Albert C. Shafer, 73, died Tuesday morning at his home, 1025 South Center street. Mr. Shafer had been suffering from diabetes for some time, but his condition was not thought to be serious until a few hours before death.
He was formerly employed at the plant of the International Harvester Company,but recently was placed on the list of pensioners.
He was born in Cincinnati and had lived many years in this city. He was a member of the Ohio Insurance Union and of Ephraim Lodge, I.O.O.F.
He leaves his wife, Mrs. Lida Shafer, a daughter, Mrs. Florence Brown, and a granddaughter, Mary Shafer, of this city; two brothers, William and Henry Shafer, both of Cincinnati, and three sisters, Mrs. Mary Hile, Miss Lizzie Shafer and Mrs. Kate Bacon, all of Cincinnati.
Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the residence. Burial will be made in Ferncliff cemetery.
