Services for Mrs. Coward are Tuesday
Funeral services for Mrs. Pearl Alve Coward, 79, will be Tuesday at 3 p.m. at the Lakewood Funeral Chapel.
The Rev. Wayne Bennett, pastor of the Willow Drive Baptist Church, will officiate with burial in Cedarlawn Haven of Rest Cemetery in West Columbia under the direction of the Lakewood Funeral Chapel.
Mrs. Coward, a 35 year resident of the area, died in Community Hospital Sunday. She had been a resident of Woodlake Nursing Home in recent years.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. J.D. Priestly, of Lake Jackson, and a brother W.A. Smith of New Orleans.
Pallbearers will be Wendell Dean, T. D. Alzenhoffer, Merrill Coward, Billy Smith, Owen Howard, and Jack Womack.
