Timothy E. "Tim" Bowers, 32, of Decatur, IN passed away on Sunday, November 3, 2013 at Lutheran Hospital as the result of a tragic hunting accident. He was born on February 18, 1981 to Charles and Carol (LaFontaine) Bowers. On August 3, 2013 he married Abbey Logan.
He was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church and also of its Knights of Columbus Msgr. Seimetz Council 864. He was the owner and operator of 5 Points Transmission.
He is survived by his wife Abbey Bowers of Decatur; his parents Charlie & Carol Bowers of Monroe; step son Greg Shively at home; Baby Bowers to be; 3 sisters Lisa (John) McAfee of Bluffton, Jenny (Landon) Shultz of Las Vegas, NV, and Krista (Scott) Jauregui of Decatur; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 1:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 7, 2013 at Haggard-Sefton & Hirschy Funeral Home with a reciting of the Holy Rosary at 12:30 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, November 8, 2013 at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church with Father David Voors presiding. Burial will take place in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
