PRINCETON, Ky. — John Atwood, 90, Eddyville, died at 6:44 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 6, 2002, at Caldwell County Hospital following a brief illness.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Morgan's Funeral Home, with the Revs. Steve McVay and Bob Bouser officiating. Burial will be in Hickory Grove Cemetery in Old Eddyville. Visitation will be from 4 until 8 tonight.
A native of Trigg County, he was born July 20, 1911, the son of the late Felix Franklin and Inez Jones Atwood. He was a retired parts manager for McDonald Ford Sales, Eddyville, was a World War II veteran and a member of the Eddyville United Methodist Church. His wife, Juanita Prince Atwood, died inn 1988.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Duke (Anita) Pettit; two brothers, Frank Atwood, Campbell Atwood; one grandchild and two great-grandchildren.
