The headstone reads "Luvica". Indications are it was pronounced "Lavisa" or "Luvisa", as those were frequently-used variation. Others included "Lavicia", "Lavica", "Lavicie", "Lavice" and "Luvicia". There is also uncertainty about the spelling of her middle name.

Luvica was married to Henry Knight long enough to bear three children, but in 1871 they went through a bitter, rancorous divorce (Henry would end up marrying at least four more times). She retained custody of the children:

1. Alonzo Leonidas Knight (c1866-1941)
2. Lucy Frances "Fannie" Knight (Peasley) (1867-1929)
3. William Sidney Knight (1869-1953)

Luvica married Robert Gibbs in 1874. He was a railroad worker for the Big Four line and was killed in an accident in 1889. She never remarried. Their children were:

1. Ida Bell Gibbs (Brown) (Bridgwater) (1876–1937)
2. Robert Lee Gibbs (1877-1953) Findagrave ID 93460681. Sometimes listed as "Lee Gibbs".
