Kenneth, the son of Lewis and Clara Hendrix, was a widower of six months at the time of his death. His wife, Kitty, along with their infant, died in childbirth.

At the time of his death, Kenneth was employed by National Linen. He died in the gas explosion at Berry's Pharmacy in Villa Rica, Georgia.

The funeral for Kenneth Clifton Hendrix was held Saturday, December 7 at Red Oak First Baptist Church, Red Oak, Georgia. (a town near Fairburn, Fulton County, Georgia).

He was survived by his parents, Cara and Lewis Hendrix, siblings Myra, Janice, Karen, Pansy and Billy Hendrix.

He was an employee of Atlanta Linen Service. He was one of twelve that perished in the explosion in Villa Rica, Georgia on December 5, 1957.
