Son of Jeremiah A Rivenburgh and Hannah ____ Rivenburgh. Brother to Robert (1815-?), Adam (1818-?) and John (1827-?). Jeremiah marries Catharine Franklin and from this union there are six known children: Mary C Rivenburgh Sherman (1853-1872), Alice C Rifenburgh Simmons (1855-1927), Charles (1856-?), Chester G Rifenburgh (1858-1913), Anna M Rivenburgh (1861-1952) and Carrie A Rivenburgh Gruntler (1865-1937). Their Mother Catharine dies of breast cancer in 1870. These children are found in the 1880 census living with Jeremiah Rivenburgh and his second wife Margaret Hanretty (1846-1890) and their children Catherine E Rifenburgh Decker (1873-1963), Edith Rifenburgh Moore (1876-1957) and John Franklin Rifenburgh (1879-1892).
