Frank F. Bellew, Sr. 74, an old resident of Appleton, died early Friday morning at his home 623 S. State St. after a three month's illness. Born in Green Bay, Mr. Bellew moved to Appleton when a boy and had lived here ever since. Mr. and Mrs. Bellew celebrated their golden wedding anniversary on May 25. Mr. Bellew was associated with the Lennon store of St. Paul, Minn., for a number of years and later was employed at the Kimberly Clark mill, Kimberly. He was a member of the Holy Name society of St. Mary church, the Catholic Order of Foresters and the Catholic Knights of Wisconsin.
Survivors are the widow, four sons, George, Milwaukee; Francis H., Minneapolis, Minn.; Edgar of North Bend, Ore.; and James of Aberdeen, S. Dak.; two daughters, Miss Kathryn Bellew and Mrs. August Kools, both of Appleton; two grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Margaret Vance, Seattle, Wash.; and one brother, William, Minneapolis, Minn. The body will be taken from the Schommer Funeral home to the residence Saturday afternoon. The funeral will be held from the residence at 8:30 Monday morning, with solemn high mass at St. Mary church at 9 o'clock. Burial will be in St. Mary cemetery.
