Foss married Erninie Olmsted 7 AUG 1907 in Home of L N Olmsted in North Plains by his father Rev Eldridge of Colon Michigan.

Ypsilanti Daily Press June 30, 1908

He is Making Good Foss O. Eldred, who has for three years past the principal of the high school department at the Michigan State Normal College, has resigned his position to begin the practice of law in Ionia. Mr. Eldred studied three years at Albion College and in 1903 was graduated from the Normal College, where he took A. B. and B.Ph. Degrees. Two years of superintending the schools in Lyons followed , and then Mr. Eldred returned to the Normal asassistant in the department of reading and oratory. After one year Mr Eldred was placed at the head of the high school department of the college. August 7, 1907,

Mr . Eldred married Miss Ernanie Olmsted, daughter of Mr and Mrs. L.N. Olmsted of Ionia County, and both Mr. Eldred and his wife have taken a prominent part in the social life of the college.

While filling his positon at the Normal Mr. Eldred has been studying law. This study he has pursued at the University of Michigan and elsewhere and for the past two years has studied at the law offices of Hatch and Gillette. He recently took the bar examination in Lansing which he passed most creditably, and is now prepared to enter on his new profession at Ionia. The best hopes for success follow Mr. Eldred from his friends at the college and in the city.
