Kenneth Dean Shaffer of Woodbury Township, Bedford County, where he conducted the Millbrook poultry farm, died Monday mornin at 10 o'clock at his home, death bein attributed to a heart ailment.
He was the son of Dr. James A. Shaffer, now deceased, and Mrs. Valeria Ann (Reid) Shaffer and was born in Allegheny county Dec. 4, 1899. He was married to Dorothy LaRue Clouse March 9, 1921 at Hollidaysburg. She survives with one daughter, Mrs. Charles Barner of Harrisburg, and three sons, Glenn Reid, Gene and Dean, all at home; two sisters, Mrs. Clay Hull of New Enterprise and Mrs. Herman Headington in Germany; one brother, Maurice Shaffer of Meadville, and two half-sisters, Mrs. James Johnson of Palmer, N.J. and Mrs. Schaler Stine of Selinsgrove, PA.
Mr. Shaffer attended the Potter Creek Lutheran Church. He was a member of the school board of Woodbury township consolidated schools.
Funeral services will be conducted this Thursday afternoon at the Potter Creek Lutheran church, the Rev. D.L. Shaffer officiating. Interment will be in Dry Hill cemetery at Woodbury.
