Born in Lexington, MO, April 28, 1843.
Enlisted in 1861 with Kirtley's troops to battle jayhawkers. Rode with Quantrill at Lawrence and Baxter Springs. Served in MS and LA during latter part of War. One of last officers to surrender on June 27, 1865. Texas Ranger stationed in Brown County, Texas after the War, a Knight of the Golden Circle, he died September 14, 1933 in TX. Buried at Roswell, NM
