BRIDGEWATER Ernest E. "Nay" Chiocca, of Bridgewater, died Saturday, April 11, 2009, at age 87. He was born, raised and educated in Bridgewater, where he was a lifelong resident. He worked for the Knapp Shoe Co. in Brockton and New Bedford for many years as the assistant plant manager. He enjoyed golfing and sports and was a member of the Lincoln Club and Vets Club. He was active in Bridgewater youth sports and was a past Cub master in Bridgewater. He was the husband of Margaret (Nicholson) Chiocca of Bridgewater; father of Kevin Chiocca and his wife Diane of Bridgewater, Cheryl White and her husband Dennis of New Jersey, Mario Chiocca of Bridgewater, Allan Chiocca and his wife Mary Jean of Bridgewater, Ellen Carey and her husband Phil of Bridgewater and the late baby Mary Chiocca. Also survived by eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren; brother of twin Primile Chiocca of Bridgewater, Della Roque of Plymouth and the late Mary, Albert, James, Mario, Eddie, Inez and Angelina. Funeral from the Prophett-Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 98 Bedford St., Bridgewater, Thursday, at 8:15.
