Herman Christman Dies at Great Falls Monday
Herman J. Christman, 54, resident of the Knees section most of his life, died Monday at a Great Falls hospital. Funeral services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Croxford's in Great Falls. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Christman was born Sept. 14, 1914, at Brady, and grew up in the Knees community, attending schools there and at Aznoe. He married Mildred Fait, Oct. 22, 1935. They lived in Great Falls until 1938 where he worked, then returned to the Knees community where he farmed until retirement last year due to ill health. He was a trustee of the Knees school board for a number of years and a member of the Community church board there.
Survivors include the wife; his mother, Mrs. Emma Christman, Missoula; sisters, Mrs. Elsie Mackie and Mrs. Mary Chole, Missoula; Mrs. Edna McCarty, Cut Bank; and Mrs. Anna Nance, Arlee. A son, Alvin Christman, died in 1958.
