Feb. 4, 1944 she married Mervin Schneider. They lived at Johnson except for 5 years when they made their home in Byron, Ne. They returned to Johnson, Ne. in 1957. and operated Schneider Plumbing.
Elzada was the first woman school bus driver in Nebraska and drove 22 years for the Johnson-Brock schools. She was named outstanding woman of the communitiy by the Johnson Jaycees in 1976.
She was preceded in death by her husband Mervin, in 1985, and by one son, a granddaughter and one brother.
Survivors include sons, Galen Schneider of Fairbury, NE. and Curtis Schneider of York, NE. daughters, Mrs. Kenneth Hug, Mrs. Gordon Budt of Cook, Ne. and Mrs. Wayne Budt of Helena, MT. also by two sisters, Mrs. Wilma Speckmann of Elk Creek, NE. and Mrs. Larry Bohlken of Auburn, Ne. four brothers, Enus and Delynn Rippe of Johnson, NE. Herschel of Auburn and Wilbert of Elk Creek,NE. 11 grandchildren.
Funeral serices were held May 9, 1988 at Zion Lutheran Church, north of Johnson, Ne.
