William Marshall "Bill" Burroughs, 77, of Roanoke, passed away Friday, April 4, 2003. He was a retired Neon bender and was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of the American Legion Post #3, the VFW Post #1264, and the Forty and Eight.
He is survived by two sons and daughter-in-law, William M. and Linda Burroughs, Jr., of Roanoke, Ronald L. Burroughs, of Rocky Mount; daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Garry Epperly, of Salem; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Monday, April 7, 2003 at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens with Chaplain Thomas Clay officiating.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Oakey's North Chapel, 362-1237.
