Leon Nelson Cota, 57, formerly of Lincoln, died of a heart attack at Custer, S, D., Thursday while sawing trees,
He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Raymond Craig, Luella and Lucille Cota all of Lincoln; four sons, Oscar, in North Africa, Pvt. Howard station in Louisiana and Verine with the Navy in New York, and Paul in Lincoln; and his father N.N. Cota, of Portland, Oregon.
Five brothers and five sisters are also survivors.

When Leon Nelson Cota was born on March 30, 1887, his father, Napoleon, was 26 and his mother, Sarah, was 15. He married Grace Condra on March 30, 1916, in Great Falls, Montana. They had eight children during their marriage. He died on June 24, 1943, in Custer, South Dakota, at the age of 56, and was buried in Lincoln, Nebraska.
