Jean Truesdell, 79, passed away October 30, 2012 in Centennial, CO, surrounded by family. She grew up in Marysville, KS, and lived the better part of 15 years in Kansas City, KS where she worked for Simmons, Co. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Barry; 1 son, 4 daughters, 13 grandchildren and 2 great- grandchildren, a sister and an aunt. A memorial service was held on November 21, 2012 at St. Gabriel's Episcopal Church in Cherry Hills Village, CO. A graveside service is to be held at 1:00 p.m., Sat., May 25 at the Marysville Cemetery. Donations can be made in memory of Jean to the American Cancer Society , P.O. Box 22178, Oklahoma City, OK 73123- 1718.

Jean Joan (Gerardy) Truesdell, 79, passed away October 30, 2012 in Centennial, CO, surrounded by family.
She was born February 21, 1933, in Hollenberg, KS to James and Evelyn Gerardy (Prall).
She attended school through third grade in Hanover, KS. After which she moved with her mother to Marysville, KS where she graduated from high school in 1951. She was united in marriage to F. Barry Truesdell, Jr. on June 24, 1951 at St. Paul's Episcopal Church. She and Barry raised five children.
Jean was a six year breast cancer survivor, but ultimately succumbed to cancer of the liver. During her life, she worked for Simmons Mattress Co. in Kansas City, Omaha and Denver, She then went to work for Diner's Club/Citicorp as a financial supervisor. She retired after 13 years with the company.
Some of her favorite pastimes were gardening, reading, cooking and shopping. She was also very involved in both her children's and grandchildren's lives.
Preceding her in death are her parents, her stepfather, Arthur Libby, her sister, Vicki Thomas, uncles John Gerardy, George Gerardy, and Chester "Kelly" Gerardy.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Barry Truesdell, Centennial CO; son, Jim Truesdell (Diane), Tonganoxie, KS; daughters, Kelly Hartford (Tom), Grand Junction, CO; Arti Jacobson (Derek), Centennial, CO; Shannon Parish (Sean), Centennial, CO; Nikki Millis (Bill) Parker, CO; sister, Libby Muchow, (Dennis), Waverly, IA; and an aunt, Catherine Gerardy; Hanover, KS; 13 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
