Writer, Actor. He was multi-talented and lent his distinctive voice to the cartoon character Garfield the Cat. Before "Garfield" he was a successful writer for television. He won an Emmy in 1969 for the "Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour". He was a story editor for the "Mary Tyler Moore Show" and he co-wrote with his wife the theme song for the "Bob Newhart Show" which he created with his partner David Davis. They also created the show "Rhoda" which featured Music as the unseen but hilarious Carlton the doorman. (bio by: Ron Moody)
