BROWN Robert Paul left this life, peacefully, on April 9, 2010. His beloved wife, Hazel, and devoted mother, Agnes, preceded him in death. He was born in Cincinnati in 1915, He graduated from the University of Cincinnati School of Engineering in 1938.
He enlisted in the Army Air Corps. and flew a B17 Flying Fortress, successfully completing twenty six missions with the 8th Army Air Corps, 92nd Bomber Group, 327th Squadron out of Bovington , England. After the war he worked as an engineer for the city of Cincinnati and was instrumental in the construction of Columbia Parkway.
He maintained his pilot's license and enjoyed many years of flying. He later worked as an Engineer for Allis Chalmers and finally retired at the age of eighty-two.
He leaves five loving children and eighteen grandchildren:
Robert Brown was a shining example of the "Greatest Generation". Besides his extraordinary intelligence and athletic talent, he was a modest and humble man.
