Barbara/Barbey Speace was the daughter of (_) Speace and his wife (_).

Barbra married Joseph Croninger Jr.

CRONINGER children: Daniel, Michael, Jacob and Joseph (3rd).

Barbara and Joseph Jr. moved to Portage Co., OH, from XX, then to Euclid Twp., Cuyahoga Co., OH. Joseph, Jr. died (before 11 Oct. 1837 in Euclid Twp., when his estate was probated there), and the Croninger siblings stayed there until about 1848/1849, when they moved, bringing along their mother, Barbara to Cascade Twp., Kent, MI. There the four brothers, Jacob, Joseph III, Michael, and Daniel purchased adjoining farms. Barbara was living with son Daniel as shown in the 1850 Census and was 71 years of age.

Warner, GRS) showing that "Barbey, mother of Daniel" Barbara (Speace) Croninger "no death date," was buried in the Whitneyville Cemetery, "is without a headstone, and the Lot number is the same as her son Daniel's."
