Lydiann was born at Wildhorse, Colorado, the daughter of Rudolph & Lizzie (Thomas) Hochstetler. She was raised in Exeland, Wisconsin.

She married Freeman Gingerich on January 17, 1935 at Kalona, Iowa, who preceded her in death on January 16, 1966. She married Mose I. Miller on September 14, 1969, who preceded her in death on January 4, 1990

Lydiann was a faithful member of the Old Order Amish Church.

Survivors are 2 sons and 3 daughters, Emery Glen Gingerich of Kalona; Samuel Gingerich of Crofton, KY; Elizabeth (Marvin) Crofton, KY; Mary Jane (Morris) Miller and Katie (Solomon) Yoder, both of Kalona; 3 stepdaughters and 1 stepson: Laura (Elmer)Schrag of Goessel, KS, Ada Marie (Laurence) Kropf of Tampico, IL; Vernon Miller of Goshen, IN; Sara V, Miller of Kalona.

Also surviving are 29 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, 11 step-grandchildren and 11 step-great-grandchildren. 2 sisters and 3 brothers; Katie Hochstetler, Barbara (Ammon) Yoder, Dan. Ben and Henry Hochstetler, all of Goshen, IN.

She was also preceded in death by her parents and 1 brother, Irvin,
