Mt. Ulla, died Monday,Aug. 23, 2004 at Davis Regional Medical Center in Statesville.
Born Jan. 21, 1929 in Salisbury to the late Harrell Turner
Beeker and Frances Owen Beeker Petersen, she attended Mt. Ulla High School. Mrs. Havner was a homemaker and member of Thyatira Presbyterian Church in Salisbury. Mrs. Havner is survived by her husband, Glenn F. Havner. Other survivors include her children, Mary Havner Caldwell of Catawba, Steve Havner of Mt. Ulla, Robin H. Drye of Salisbury, Charlene Brown of Monroe and Anita Benfield, of Mooresville; a brother, James T. Beeker of Alexander City, Ala.; grandchildren, Lisa Lemons Tina Leonard and Scottie Havner; and four great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. today, Wednesday, Aug. 25 at Thyatira Presbyterian Church in Salisbury with Rev. Sandra Kern officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends in the church parlor 30 minutes prior to the service.
