Yvonne Guyon was born in Burgandy, a small farm village near Seine-et-Oise, France. At the age of 16, she went to Paris where she was employed by the "House of Jean Patou", eventually becoming the firm's top designer. In 1938, she traveled to Bermuda for a vacation and while there, she met and married William Hewitt Edward Wilton. The couple had two children born to them in Bermuda, then some time afterwards the Wilton family settled in England. Yvonne and William immigrated to the United States with their children, residing in St. Louis, Missouri until they divorced in 1949. Yvonne married Dr. Lewis M. Webb in 1953, a long time resident of Ewing, Illinois.
To those who knew Yvonne, she appeared "very French". She was viewed as being bright and quite witty. She died of breast cancer in 1975 while residing in St. Louis, Missouri.
