Delphos Republican, October 16, 1931
MURDER AND SUICIDE
A murder and suicide occurred in the Lamar neighborhood this Tuesday morning, which was a great shock to the people there and to the county.

It appears that George Allison first killed his wife, then realizing the situation, killed himself. Reports are that the couple were not congenial, the trouble being over financial matters, as far as meager reports indicate. The tragedy took place some time in the morning, as near as can be estimated.

A small grandson of Mrs. Allison was there when the trouble occurred, and was locked in the house in a separate room, and the Allisons were not found until about five in the evening, when a son of Mrs. Allison came from school. He loaded the smaller child in a wagon and pulled him about a mile to the Jagger home. The Jaggers then turned in the report to the county attorney.

Mr. and Mrs. Allison had been married about a year, she having been married before.

>On the 1925 KS census, Hattie's husband was James Frakes. In 1930 she was using the Jagger name again. (added by Connie Langvardt) (bio by: KChaffeeB)
