James "Jimmy" Gautreaux

Funeral Services will be held at an 11:00 am Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, December 14, 2011 in the Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers for James "Jimmy" Gautreaux, 64, who passed away on December 11, 2011 at 10:40 am at Lafayette General Medical Center.
Reverend David Hebert will be Celebrant of the Mass and will conduct the funeral services.
Burial will take place in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Gautreaux, a resident of Vermilion Heath Care Center in Kaplan, LA, was the son of the late Lloyd Gautreaux of Duson, Louisiana and the former Hortense Alleman of Mermentau, Louisiana. He was a 1964 graduate of Northside High School and he retired from Winn Dixie as a Dairy Manager after many years of service. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force.
He is survived by one brother, Ulysses J. "Yogi" Gautreaux and wife Diana B. Gautreaux of Scott, LA; two sisters, Linda Latour and Lena Gonzales and husband, Joseph A. Gonzales both of Lafayette, LA and former wife, Laura Gautreaux of Crowley, LA as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents and one brother, Clifton J. Gautreaux.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home of Lafayette on Tuesday from 10:00 am until 9:00 pm. Visitation will continue on Wednesday 8:00 am until the time of services. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm on Tuesday evening.
