Carl Wright Boyer served as a Lieutenant Colonel in the Adjutant General's Corps, United States Army Reserve.

He was a son of Charles Clinton Boyer and Margaret (Wright) Boyer.

He served during World War I and also during World War II.

He served in the 146th Ordnance Depot Company during World War I.

He enlisted in the U.S. Army on March 2, 1918 at Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.

He was promoted to Corporal on November 1, 1919.

He received his discharge from the Army on November 9, 1919 at Camp Dodge, Iowa.

He entered his active World War II service on May 26, 1942 at Allentown, Pennsylvania.

He received his discharge from the Army on August 26, 1946 at Ft. George G. Meade, Maryland.

He was originally from Mt. Carmel, Pennsylvania.

His last place of residence was in Allentown, Pennsylvania.

He was interred in the Gettysburg National Cemetery on October 16, 1967.
