Burdwell H. Shipe served as a Colonel in the United States Army.

He served during World War II and also during the Korean War.

He was a son of Burdwell Wilson Shipe and Agnes (Steffan) Shipe.

He enlisted in the Army on March 18, 1941 at Ft. Meade, Maryland.

He received his discharge from the Army on March 30, 1946 at Brooklyn, New York.

He was originally from Palmerton, Pennsylvania.

His last place of residence was in Carlisle, Pennsylvania.
