2021 Reeves Street, 15th Ward

The remains of Alexander S. Miller, a member of Company H., Sixth Regiment, who was killed in the encounter with the mob at Pittsburg [sic], were buried yesterday afternoon, from his late residence, No. 2021 Reeves street, north of Vine street, above Twentieth. A large crowd was attracted to the vicinity. Many handsome offerings were sent to the residence of deceased, among which was a beautiful harp, presented by the employees of Messers. William Wood & Co., who attended the funeral in a body. The members of the Sabbath school and Bible class of the Eighteenth and Spring Garden Streets Church, Cosmopolitan Lodge, K. P., and Industrial Lodge, No. 62, Sons of Temperance. The remains were taken to Fernwood Cemetery, on the line of Philadelphia, Wilmington and Baltimore Railroad, in West Philadelphia, where appropriate services were held."
