Rena was raised in Virginia and always surrounded by family and friends. She attended Cora Kelly Elementary in Alexanria, VA, Thoreau Middle School in Vienna, VA and graduated from James Madison High School in Vienna, VA in 1978. Rena also completed two years of community college.

Rena began her career in the banking industry, but also held other various positions. She jointed the federal government in 1990 and began working for the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms an Explosive (ATF), where she was currently employed. Over the years, she gained many true friendships through her colleagues; she even looked at some of them as family and cared for them dearly.

Rena was very caring and compassionate when it came to her loved ones, there is nothing she wouldn't do for her family and firends. She enjoyed traveling regularly, whether it was to New Orleans or other parts of the United States or visiting an island. She absolutely loved traveling to the different Caribbean islands, her favorite island was the Bahamas. She loved the water, relaxation and serenity she gained when she visitied. She loved to be near water , for it brought her peace. Rena was a huge New York Giants Fan and she always had a love for cars. She enjoyed great food, if you ever wanted to know where to get something tasty, she would always know where to go. Rena and her good friends would get together to go our to dinner or lunch to just shoot the breeze. Above all things, she loved speinding quality time with her only grandchild, Arianna. She adored her granddaughter, Arianna was her world. Rena was a fantastic mother, grandmother and friend. she was beautiful, inside and out and she will be greatly missed.
