Birth: Jan. 12, 1826
Death: Dec. 2, 1904
Wisconsin, USA

David was born 12 Jan 1826 in Niederhagen, Pomerania, Prussia.

David Krueger Chilton Times December 17, 1904

With the death of David Krueger which occurred Sunday at his home in Rockland, one of the landmarks, solid, substantial and most worthy citizens was removed from the scenes of this life; settling in that township in 1853 when it was nothing more than a wilderness, he had by frugal and honest methods reared to respectability a large family and acquired a competency in the way of a large farm that any man might be proud of.
Every man that understood David Krueger was his friend. Plain and outspoken always but willing at anytime to do what he could for a neighbor or friend, very few realize the hardships that this man endured. He fought through two wars, one in his native country (Germany) which ended in 1848 and the other our civil war in which he served with honor to himself and country.
He leaves one son and four daughters, namely August, Mrs. A. Hemple, of Cecil, Mrs. W. H. Pettey and Mrs. Ferd. Haese of Brillion and Mrs. Amelia Reinke of Milwaukee.
The funeral was held at the Rockland Evangelical church on Tuesday and was very largely attended, people coming for miles to pay their last tribute of respect to their old friend and comrade.
