Born September 25, 1905 passed away on May 29,2006 at 100 years 8 months. Edna was a resident of Peyton, Colorado at the home of Grandson, Robert Tamlin. She was born in Van Buren, Arkansas to the union of Clark, and Rosetta Skinner. Her parents have preceded her in death.

Edna was a homemaker, member of Falcon Baptist Church in Falcon, Colorado and was a past President of the Ladies Auxiliary in Florence, Colorado where she resided for many years before moving back, to Colorado Springs.

She enjoyed working in her yard, but her favorite passtime was knitting, (which she taught many of us). Edna also enjoyed crocheting, slot machines, Bingo and visiting with friends and family.

Edna was proceeded in death by both husbands, Thomas R. Alston and Cecil Calvert. Also proceeded in death by daughter, Clara P. Toth; Son, Richard Alston and sister, Julia Slagle.

Edna is survived by daughters, Irene Bender of Rocky Ford, Colorado, Grace Tamlin of Colordo Springs, Colorado, Thelma Kimberlin of Mesquite, Nevada, Rita (Don) Willey of Sacramento, California and son, Thomas (Janice) Alston of Florence, Colordo. Also survived by numerous neices, nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren.

A visitation will take place one hour prior to the service. Funeral service 11:00 AM, Friday, June 2, 2006 at Memorial Gardens Cemetery & Funeral Home with graveside service immediately following.

In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorial contributions in memory of Edna Mae Calvert to the Falcon Baptist Church of Falcon, Colordo 80831.
