Matthew was born on November 24, 1982, in St. Paul, Minnesota. He was the son of David and Susan (Long) Byrne Jr. Matthew attended school in Tracy, Minnesota. He was united in marriage to Jamie Goodburn on May 14, 2005, in Mankato, Minnesota. Matthew enjoyed hunting and fishing, farm work, and being outdoors. Matthew D. Byrne, age 24 of St. Clair, died Thursday, September 27, 2007 in Clarkfield. Minnesota.
Matthew is survived by his wife Jamie and their daughter Haylei James Byrne, St. Clair, MN; parents David and Susan Byrne Jr., Roberts, WI; two brothers: Nathan Byrne, Currie, MN and Andrew Byrne, Roberts, WI; paternal grandparents: David (Nancy) Byrne Sr., St. Paul, MN and Elaine Byrne, St. Paul, MN; parents-in-law Dennis and Tracy Goodburn, North Mankato, MN; sister-in-law Jennifer Goodburn, North Mankato, MN; also many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents.
