Lois E Haselhuhn, 74, of Rogers City, died Thursday, April 9th, at her home. The daughter of the late Fred and Edna (Fisher) Horn, she was born October 22, 1923 in Rogers City and was a life-long area resident.

Shortly after, on November 18th, Lois was reborn a child of God through the Sacrament of Baptism at St John Lutheran Church by the Rev Ernest Ross and at the age of 13 was Confirmed by the Rev Louis Linn on March 21, 1937. She remained a life-long active member at St John Lutheran Church.

She graduated from Rogers City High School in 1941 and worked for many years as a house-keeper for Dr Renwood Flagg and later at the Sir-Vis Dry Cleaners in Rogers City.

She and Norman W Haselhuhn were married April 25, 1946, at St John Lutheran Church with the Rev Louis A Linn officiating. She was a member of St John Lutheran Church and its Ladies Aid; and a founding member of the Presque Isle Promenaders Square Dance Club.

Surviving are:
...her husband, Norman;
...a son, Larry (Polly), and
...a daughter, Ruth (David) Brege, all of Rogers City;
...four granddaughters
......JoAnna and Amanda Haselhuhn, and
......Lee Ann and Gail Lynn Brege;
...two sisters,
......Dorothy LaLonde of Rogers City and
......Corinne (Ivan) Schaedig of Alpena;
...a brother, Charles (Nancy)Horn of Rogers City; and
...many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Robert and Paul Horn.

Friends called after 2:00pm Sunday at the Bill Brietzke Funeral Home. Funeral service was Monday, April 13, at St John Lutheran Church with the Rev Barton Gray officiating. Internment was at Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St John Lutheran Church, Hospice for the Sunrise Shore, or a charity of a friend's choice.
