Birth: 1844

Well Known Dray Man of Days Gone By Passes Away After Being Injured In Fall.

Robert Armstrong, 90, who became a well known town character during the fifty years he conducted a one-horse dray line in Green Bay, died this noon in a local hospital.

Mr. Armstrong enjoyed comparatively good health until four weeks ago when he fell and fractured his hip, and was in the hospital ever since. He came to Green Bay when he was about 19 years old, and established the dray line which he continued to operate until about his 70th year. He made his home with a son William at 1030 Doty St., and other survivors are another son, John, and a daughter, Mrs. Edward Whipple, both of this city. Eight grandchildren also survive.

The body is at the Findelsen-Greiser chapel tonight, and funeral arrangements will be announced tomorrow.
