William H. Reindel, 90, of Harrisburg, a former junior high school principal here, died Wednesday in Polyclinic Hospital.
He retired as principal from the former Edison Junior High School.
'Bill was a very respected leader, a very kind and honest man,' said Jack Taylor, an Edison assistant principal under Reindel. 'Words of praise wouldn't adequately define the man. He was an astute educator, a moral man and a great man to work with.'
Reindel was a graduate of the former Harrisburg Technical High School, Franklin & Marshall College and Pennsylvania State University. He was a member of Pine Street Presbyterian Church, F&AM Lodge 698, Harrisburg Consistory, Zembo Shrine Temple and its String Band, York Rite bodies and the Tech Golden Legion.
Surviving are his wife, Charlotte F. Reindel; a daughter, Linda R. Brown of Harrisburg; a son, William H. of Westwood, N.J.; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in his church. Burial will be in Shoop's Cemetery, Lower Paxton Twp.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday in Kimmel Funeral Home.
