Alfred Rowland Collard, 73, died at his home in Banner, Arkansas Monday. He had been a teacher in Cleburne and White county schools for several years.
He is survived by his widow, Idella "Dee" Collard, two sons, Paul and Lloyd both of Muncie, Indiana, three daughters, Mrs. Opal Martin of Banner, Mrs. Mabel Sigler of Muncie, Indiana and Mrs. Lula Bell of Peach Orchard, Arkansas, a brother, Austin Collard of Banner, three sisters, Mrs. Robert Stuart of Banner, Mrs. E. C. Campbell of Ponca City, Oklahoma and Mrs. W. C. Newton of Batesville, Arkansas.
Funeral services will be conducted by Rev. James M. Collard of Newark at Old Mt.Zion Baptist Church near Banner with burial in Mt. Zion Cemetery
Alfred R. Collard married Idella Brannan on Sept. 29, 1895 in Banner, AR. They had children, Monnie, Opal, Paul, Mabel, Junius, Lula, Roy and Lloyd. Alfred was a school teacher and a lawyer.
