Lloyd “Buck” Howell, of Bowdon, Georgia, passed away on April 18, 2016. He was 76.
Mr. Howell was born on July 16, 1939 in Manatee County, Florida. He was retired from the Florida Department of Corrections and worked at the Hillsborough Correctional Institution. While at Hillsborough, he was promoted to Sergeant and was recognized for saving the state over $100,000 for his work in securing donations for items needed at the prison.
He was preceded in death by his mother and step-father, Jewell and Marion Howell; his father, Jesse Parrish; and his brother, Larry Parrish, and his step-mother, Hope Parrish.
Survivors include his wife, Harriet Bigelow Howell; his children, Darilyn (Kevin) Bodie, Larry Howell, and Mark Howell; his step-daughter, Cynthia (Bob) Stevens; his grandchildren, Shawn Bodie, Corey Bodie, Stepahnie Howell, and Jessica Howell; his sisters, Arlen Hicks and Kay Thompson.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 22, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Community Church. Pastor Roy Garret will officiate. Interment will follow in Community Gardens Cemetery. Prior to the service on Friday, the family will receive friends at the church from 1:00 p.m. till the funeral hour.

Buck never knew his real dad, he found us in 1996,we had looked for years trying to find him, as I had his original birth certificate. After his mother passed away and several years later he was told of his real father and his name. He located us in 10 days!
