Spartan was my first Betta fish that I got on October 6, 2013. He was such a cute, grumpy little thing. He always waited in the same spot when it was time to feed him. He was very beautiful and very loved.

He became sick from a disease in his swim bladder early this month and despite my best efforts in treating illness he died on Sunday, June 15, 2014. I came home and see he started spinning in a circle and he could not swim right and he sank to the bottom and stopped breathing. I believe the illness eventually effected his brain and it was a very sad thing to watch but there was nothing more I could do.

Spartan was treated with respect in death and was wrapped in a white cloth tied with a pretty blue ribbon. He was given flowers picked from our patio and placed in a small box with them. He was given a loving and respectful burial the next day. He will be missed very much. Rest in peace little guy.
