Van Alstyne - Billie Allen, 78, died Saturday, January 3, 2004 in Wilson N. Jones Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Flesher Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mercer and the Rev. Jack Wallace officiating. Burial will be in Van Alstyne Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Weldon (Pookie) Williams, Gus Vermillion, Charles Hix, Johnny Bratcher; Tom Chapman, Jimmy Beard, Zack Herring, Gary Russell.
Visitation will be from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. Monday at the Funeral Home.
Mr. Allen was born September 2, 1925 in Tom Bean, Texas, the son of Willie Allen and Eula Mae (Boots) Wortham Allen. He attended Tom Bean High School. He married Joyce Flesher October 4, 1947 in Van Alstyne.
He was a member of First Methodist Church in Van Alstyne, member of Mantua Masonic Lodge, #209, Van Alstyne, Leah Elliot order of Eastern Star #1119, Grayson County Schttish Rite Shriners
