BROWDER - A retired Columbus carpenter, Clarence Browder, 82, died Sunday morning at the Grand Island Veterans Hospital where he was a patient the last five years.
Military graveside rites for the World War I Navy veteran will be conducted in Columbus Cemetery following the Tuesday 2 p.m. funeral services at Gass-Haney Chapel. Officiating minister will be the Rev. John McGee.
Resident of Columbus for 45 years, Mr. Browder was born Nov. 19, 1892 at Preston, Mo., to John C. an Ingra (Oman) Browder. He was educated at Gothenburg, Neb., and Grand Island Business College. A member of the Amerian Legion, he was formerly affiliated with Eagles Lodge.
Surviving are two nephews, Gene and John J. Neater of Columbus. His sister, Mrs. John (May) Neater Sr. preceded him in death.
