Susan Belle Arts, age 57, of Glenwood, died Saturday, May 7, 2011.

She was born on December 7, 1953, at Riverside, California, the daughter of James David Arts and Clara Belle Moreland Arts. She was preceded in death by her parents.

In 1963, Susan moved with her family from Riverside, California to Glenwood, where she remained for the rest of her life. For many years she worked at Beans and then at Aalfs, until they shut their business down, at which time she attended Garland County Community College, where she received her Associates Degree in Business Management in 2004. She spent the rest of her life staying at home and enjoying her grandchildren. She was a wonderful mother, who always put her children first, was loved by all and will be greatly missed.

She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Dean and Gail O'Neal of Glenwood and Robert and Sharon O'Neal of Amity; one daughter and son-in-law, Samantha and Adam McCormick of Monticello; seven grandchildren, Kimberly O'Neal, Angela O'Neal, Quinten O'Neal, Danielle O'Neal, Gabrielle O'Neal, Mercadez McCormick and Maddalynn McCormick; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, David and Kay Austin of California, Robert and Margaret Mecum of Glenwood and Michael Arts of Deerfield Beach, Florida; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Judy Taylor of Glenwood, Elaine and Jim Johnson of Bossier City, Louisiana and Barbara Brausch of Glenwood; and numerous nieces, nephews and special friends.

Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, May 11, 2011, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Glenwood with Bro. Bobby Lock officiating.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
