Nena Mae Goodwin, 93, passed away today at Fort Bayard Medical Center. She was born Dec. 8, 1901, to Charles and Emma (Hill) Miller in Kaufman, Texas. Her career was working on an aircraft assembly line. She was a resident of Gila for six years and was a member of the Gila Valley Seniors. She is survived by a son, Tommie C. Goodwin of Berkeley, Calif.; a sister, Irene Henson of Yucca Valley, Calif.; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Goodwin, in 1926, and her daughter, Nena Garst, in 1985. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Gila Cemetery in Gila. Family members selected Curtis-Bright Funeral Home to serve them.
