Lula Mae Day, Trenton, died Sunday at Clarksville (Tenn.) Memorial Hospital after a long illness.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Gamble Funeral home, Hopkinsville, with the Rev. N.A. Kirby officiating and burial in Cave Spring Cemetery, Hopkinsville.
Visitation began this morning at the funeral home.
A native of Todd County, Day was born Feb. 27, 1918, daughter of the late Barker and Mildred Byers Merriweather. She was a homemaker, a member of Mount Pisgah Baptist Church and the widow of John L. Day.
Survivors include three sons, John B. Day, Trenton, and Melvin Day and Lewis Day, both of Clarksvile; four daughters, Mary Day, Trenton, Mildred Fletcher, Toledo, Ohio, China Wilson, Lansing, Mich., and Jo Ann Martin, Topeka, Kan.; a brother, Alfred Merriweather, Louisville two sisters, Bell Green, Trenton, and Hattie Merriweather, Louisville; and 25 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
