William J. "Billy" Hill, III, 85, died Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2009 at his residence. Mr. Hill, is a native of Sumter County, and was an engineer with Georgia Public Television. He attended Pinecrest Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the US Army, serving in World War II. He was the son of the late William J. Hill, Jr. and the late Mary Alice Perry.
Survivors include his wife, Marlin; three sons: Jesse, Wayne and Jerry; two daughters, Jenny and Ann; sixteen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
