Clyde O. Singleton, son of Will and Jane Banister Singleton, was born May 5, 1908, at Gravity, Ia., and passed away at the Memorial Hospital in Chariton on Jan. 31, 1963.
He had been a resident of Lucas county for over 50 years. In 1931 he was united in marriage to Doris Hoover and to this union one child, Patricia Jean, was born.
He was a World War II veteran, serving from 1942 to 1945.
Left to mourn his passing are his daughter, Mrs. Russell Adams; a granddaughter, Linda, of Des Moines; two sisters, Mrs. Richard (Dorothy) Silcott, and Mrs. Kenneth (Bertha) Barnett of Des Moines; a brother, Roy, of Millerton, and 13 nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 3, 1963, at the Beardsley-Fielding Funeral Home. The Rev. T. L. Louiselle officiated with interment in the Fry Hill cemetery at Lucas.
