Birth: Mar. 17, 1888
Nebraska, USA
Death: Nov. 12, 1959
Saunders County
Nebraska, USA

Bessie Mamie Havlik was the daughter of Joseph and Mary Slama Havlik. Bessie's birthplace remains unclear as she was born about the time that Joseph and Mary moved from Saline County Nebraska to Sheridan County near Rushville, Nebraska. It is not known if she was born before or after the move. As seen in newspaper articles below, the question of her birthplace remains unresolved.

Bessie's father, Joseph, farmed in western Nebraska near Rushville for several years. It is believed that Joseph took part in a Cherokee Outlet land rush into the newly opened Oklahoma lands in 1893. He moved his family to Oklahoma, first to Pawnee, Oklahoma and then to Lawton.

Bessie married Frank R. Beznoska in Lawton on September 6, 1904. They had one son, Raymond, who was born in Lawton. They moved back to Nebraska in 1918.

Below is an account of their 50th Wedding Anniversary and Bessie's obituary:
